How many guests can The Court House host?

We have spaces available for 2 - 100 guests. The Mayor's Parlours can be hired for meetings of 2-6 people, The Chambers is available for 6 - 20 guests. The Ballroom is available for 20 - 100. For seated dinners and Wedding Breakfast we do not recommend that your guest numbers exceed 80. For more relaxed dining, conferences or parties our maximum capacity in The Ballroom is 100.

What time can guests arrive?

The Court House Team will open the doors for all events 15 minutes prior to their start time. Please speak with the Events Team if you have any specific arrival requirements for your event. We can be flexible to what your event needs as Meetings & Conferences often begin at 8am, Wedding Breakfasts at 2pm or Evening Parties at 7pm!

Are children allowed at The Court House?

Yes, children are welcome here at The Court House but we do request they are supervised by an adult at all times. There are some areas with steps and stairs that could be a hazard.

Are dogs allowed at the venue?

As a Grade I listed building, we must be careful to preserve the building as best we can. Guide and Assistance Dogs are permitted but unfortunately we are unable to have dogs in The Ballroom. However, Pageant Gardens is a wonderful open space where many people opt to have their four legged friends join them for photos.
